Now in my 7th decade, I realize every day that I have more ideas for art pieces than I could possibly complete in my lifetime. Of course, when one is constantly experimenting with new techniques as I do, there are many chances for disaster. I prefer to think of these as challenges, not failures. To me, art is all about fixing what started to go wrong and incorporating "mistakes."
Lately, I have been interested in creating fanciful landscapes, using a combination of techniques. I do most of my fabric dyeing while we are in Florida for the winter, as I have a perfect set-up in our garage.
I enjoy exhibiting my work and hearing comments from viewers.
My work has been shown at the Eastcoast Quilters Alliance shows, the Indiana governor's mansion, the Indianapolis Art Center, Quilt America!, the Indiana Heritage Quilt Show, Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza, Pacific International Quilt Exhibition, the Wholly Rags show of recycled art, World Quilt and Textiles, and the Cape Coral Arts Studio.
Thank you for visiting this website. I appreciate your interest.
